Your Mom

One of the best things about starting this site is all the feedback I’ve been getting from friends and strangers. I love hearing people’s comments and reactions to particular chats. Most relate to the chats on some kind of level and others are just flabbergasted by my mom’s ability to use instant messaging while at the same time, unable to spell simple works like “talk” and “girl”.

People often send me their anecdotes of miscommunication with their mothers via technology platforms. I’ve been meaning to start a new category and share them on the site but for whatever reasons, got sidetracked. Most likely, there was a racing episode of “The Hills” on TV.

So now there is a new category on Lost in Emoticons called “YOUR MOM”. This is your opportunity to expose your mom’s inexperience with using today’s technology to communicate. But isn’t it cute when she tries?
